The Owner/Founder:

Timothy J. Grautski founded the Add-A-Sign Company in 1991 while finishing his post graduate MBA in college. Armed with a simple PC and a color printer, he began selling signs and color report covers for students. Intrigued by the graphics industry, he added an Art and Computer Science degree to his agenda and enrolled in a 1-year sub-program with a local sign school.

After graduating in 1993, he worked full time as a controller for a locally based company and part-time at Add-A-Sign which was located in his parents basement. After a year, the company began to take more and more of his time, sometimes working until 2am after working an 8 hour day as a controller. Upon realizing the lack of advancement with his accounting job, he resigned and started Add-A-Sign full time.

After a few short years, the company had outgrown the 750 sq.ft. basement and moved to 20 Pond Street, a 3,000 sq.ft. commercial facility. A few after that, Add-A-Sign expanded to the back of the building doubling its space.

Add-A-Sign Co. moved to 136 Pond Street, an 18,000 sq.ft. facility with better parking, where it currently resides.

The Art Director:

Michael T. Mobley holds a college degree in graphic design and has worked in the field for over 10 years. He has experience with offset printing, logo design, large and small format printing, trade shows and sign design. Mike is extremely efficient and effective in producing eye-catching graphics in a multitude of platforms and programs. The Fabrication & Installation Supervisor:

Douglas Farnsworth studied commercial art in school and has been in the graphics industry since 1982. Doug is in charge of site surveys, acquiring permits, fabrication and installation of your sign, awning or truck lettering. His impeccable attention to detail has made him a strong addition to our team. Even the best designed signs aren't effective if installed improperly, in the wrong location or have less than perfect workmanship. Rest assured that Doug will make the location and installation processes of your sign a pleasant and exciting experience.
